New Mini Campaign – Postcards II

The cards in this group include a repeating message of something like: (around the edge) “On the rule of law is the Meidas Touch Network on YouTube” and somewhere in the body or extra space: “Democracy, Rule of Law, Public Good Policy, Science & Facts”. This is the version I settled on after the awkward start. Recent unpublished postcards featured: “Good Read: ‘Being Logical: A Guide to Thinking‘ by DQ McInerney”. Here are some cards. The start was awkard. I wasn’t feeling well and am out of practice writing.

There are four distinct card text types. The third is excerpted or edited poetry from the Lost in Mist blog and the fourth is excerpted, abridged, or edited poems that appear in the book and the blog both. Groups 3 and 4 feature many more words and more refined writing than 1 & 2.

CARD 1
In the end we are all together in spite of what they try to tell us. Fear and violence are tools of fascism, no matter how many times they wrap themselves in the flag the opposition to democracy & compassion & common good policy is clear. To cross again is not to cross.

CARD 2
We cannot wait around for a hero. Delusions disinformation and threats are running wild. Beware the path of fascism being cloaked in the flag. Survival of democracy is not guaranteed. But real people, real values, are stronger than fear when we take action.

CARD 3
There is no way forward with illusions and delusions. We all must do our parts to guarantee the survival of democracy. Decency, empathy and real policies will prevail, we hope. But is it guaranteed with the level of threats and disinformation?

There will be more about the details of this campaign later. It’s about half the original postcard and half the second one (haven’t gotten around to a doing a third yet).
